Jason Garrison - Equipping & Discipleship Associate
jasong@myfaithbaptist.org
I began serving at Faith in January 2009 to assist in Discipling and Equipping ministries. Originally hailing from Hoover, Alabama, I later lived in Dallas, Texas for five years where I attended school and married Allyson. We then moved to Cordova in 2005 where I taught high school for four years and began attending Mid-America Seminary. Like so many others, Allyson and I fell in love with Faith during our first visit and have seen God's love and grace working through the leadership and congregation each week. My desire is to know and teach the Scriptures that we might have a deep relationship with God and others, and a broad influence on our family, friends, and communities. Allyson and I have three dogs and are currently pursuing adoption.

Sheri Hale, Director of Children's Ministries
sherih@myfaithbaptist.org
I am an educator by profession and a Christian educator by passion. The Lord called me to the full time position here at Faith five years ago. Before that I served in the public school arena and part-time at Faith. Ministry here at Faith is an incredible journey. Surrounded by an awesome army of volunteers, we have the joy of leading children to a personal knowledge of Jesus, teaching them to live for him and to share their faith with others. We use a variety of creative children’s programs as the vehicles to carry boys and girls to the cross. My husband, Philip and I are the parents of four adult children and the Gram and Granddaddy to six wonderful grandchildren.

Rachel Walker - Children's Ministry Associate
rachelw@myfaithbaptist.org
“Welcome home” was the very first phrase I heard when I joined Faith in the fall of 2007. Those were very comforting words for a brand new seminary student looking for a church home in a new city. I quickly fell in love with the mission and heartbeat of this church. I joined the Faith staff in May of 2008 as the Children’s Ministry Associate. Some of my responsibilities include serving as coordinator for Kidzone (3rd-5th) on Wednesday nights, M&M Munchies, recruiting volunteers, 3rd-5th grade Vertical Connection coordinator, and assistant director for Kids Camp and VBS. I have a heart for both children and international missions. My favorite part of my position is getting so see children come to know Christ and then seeing them lead their friends to Him. I’m originally from Wardell, Missouri. I’m currently working on a Masters in Missions at Mid-America Baptist Theological Seminary.

Vicki Purifoy, Director of Preschool Ministries
vickip@myfaithbaptist.org
After serving as the part time Preschool Director of Faith Baptist Church for 14 years, God has recently called me to serve in this capacity in a full time ministry position. Prior to serving at faith, I was the Preschool Director at Bartlett Baptist Church. My husband Ronnie and I are the parents of three grown children Leigh, Russell and Nicholas. God has blessed us as “Nana and Pops” to five wonderful grandchildren.
It is my privilege to share the love of Jesus with “His little people”. I have the opportunity daily to encourage, pray for, and come alongside our young families. I feel God has called me to be His hands and feet daily, teaching children about Him and His love through Bible stories, activities, prayer and interaction. It’s all about growing the Kingdom through the heart of a little child. |
