Welcome

Welcome to the Music Ministry at Faith Baptist! The Music Ministry goal of Faith Baptist Church is to lead our church body in passionate worship and to experience a fresh encounter with God. It is also our goal that the Music Ministry be a prelude of praise to the preaching and teaching of God's Word, to complement our soul- winning and discipleship ministries, and to prepare the hearts of God's people to worship Him in spirit and in truth (John 4:23-24). We are committed to teaching our children, youth and adults the music and musical skills that will enable them to become active participants and leaders in worship. Music opportunities include: Choirs (preschool, children, students, and adults). We also have an adult orchestra, adult handbells, student and adult praise bands, seasonal musical presentations and our Faith Music Academy (private instruction in violin, viola, cello, piano, harp, acoustic guitar, flute, trumpet, french horn, trombone, percussion and voice). We also have student and adult drama teams that bring life and art together to enhance our worship services. I think you will find the Music Ministry here at Faith to be encouraging, uplifting, exciting, and inspiring.

For His Glory!

Terry Easley

Associate Pastor/Music & Worship

The Lord called me and my family to Faith in 2004.  My wife Konnie and I have been married since 1980 and have two boys, Jeremy and Jacob.  Through the Ministry of Music, I have the wonderful privilege to lead our church family to glorify God.  I serve with the greatest Senior Pastor and Ministerial Staff God has ever put together.  These men love God supremely.  I never dreamed serving Jesus could be so rewarding and fun.  If you are searching for a church to call “home” you have found that home at Faith!  Faith is a place where friends truly do become family.  Come join us during these exciting days of growth as we celebrate our Risen Lord and Savior Jesus Christ!

Konnie Easley

I was born and raised in Texas in a Minister of Music’s home. I’ve always loved to sing around the piano with my Mom, Dad, and 4 sisters. Music was a way of life growing up. God put it in my heart at an early age to want to sing and to serve him. Music is the heartbeat to my soul. When I am down, I can begin to sing songs about Jesus and my spirit is lifted. My family later served in full-time Music Evangelism. I travelled with my family for 4 years before meeting my husband Terry. Terry and I married and continued serving in Music Evangelism for 21 more years together. Later, Terry felt led to accept the call as the Music Minister in a church in Alabama where we stayed for 4 years. We moved here to Faith and have served here almost 11 years now. It has been a wonderful journey serving with God’s people.
We have two sons, Jeremy and Jacob and one daughter in-love, Deidra, and our first Granddaughter, Aubrey Lane. We love to minister through Music and Song. There is something special when God’s people sing His praises together. Something miraculous always seems to happen. Music is my heart and I am so thankful I am able to lift my voice to the ONE who deserves our Highest Praise.

Evelyn Kendrick

Accompanist/ Music Librarian

I am blessed to be a part of the music ministry here. We have a very large team that helps lead in worship each week. I have been an accompanist since my husband Riley and I joined Faith in February 1996. My Music Assistant position is that of Music Librarian. My degree is in Music Education. I enjoy exercising, reading, going to the beach and spending time with my two children and their families in Nashville and with my extended family in Texas.

Betty Murley

Accompanist

My family joined Faith in October 1996. I married my best friend, Richard, August 15, 1981. We have 3 children and 1 grandson. I love to read, watch movies, go to the beach, play & listen to music and spend time with family & friends. I started taking piano lessons when I was 5 years old. I started as a substitute pianist at Faith in 1998 & officially accepted a position in 2004. Music is therapy for the soul. I love playing the piano when no one is looking - I tend to lose myself and that time alone with God is sweet!! I count it an honor to serve God through music and a privilege to be part of the music ministry at Faith.

Dawn Hunter

Accompanist

I have had the amazing privilege of serving Jesus at Faith Baptist since 2008. Music has been my passion since I was a little girl! Praising the Lord through music & worship is what I love!
My husband, Nate & I have been married since 1991! God has blessed us with 2 wonderful children, Kierstynn & Kolby! I love singing & playing piano, spending time with my family & watching college football! Go VOLS!

Debbie Stawick

Children’s Choir Coordinator

My husband, Brad, and I have been married since 1995 and we have three wonderful children; Glen, Amanda, and Megan. We moved to Bartlett from Illinois in 2002. The first Sunday after we moved, we visited Faith Baptist Church and I knew that this would be our home. I have served in the adult choir and the children's music ministry for several years. I absolutely love listening to those sweet kids singing for Jesus every week. It is so much fun to see the children praise the Lord while learning how to use their talents for Him. My children have all been active participants in the children's choir program at Faith. I also love to read, bake, exercise, travel, and spend time with my family and friends.

HOME . . . that is what Faith Baptist Church is to me.  It has been an absolute joy and honor to serve with such a loving church family.  My wife, Shey, and I have been married since 1993.  We have two children, Casey and Josiah.   My entire family is involved in the ministries at Faith. I teach in Shelby County Schools and I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Music Education.  I love young people and want to see them use their talents to glorify God.   The Student Choir sings each month in church and in the Christmas and Easter music presentations.  We also go on an annual Summer Choir Tour during the month of July.  Come join us as we lift our voices in song!!
